here’s more of our little guy. . .
and, here he is checking out his boppy and just hanging in his crib (proof that he can be put down, sometimes for up to one minute!)

and finally, here’s how and where we spend most of our time.

Hi Tricia -
Congratulations to you and Dave – and welcome to Henry! What a handsome baby.
Love the blog! It is so fun to see pictures and hear how you are all doing. It brings back a lot of memories – the seismic shift to life with baby is an amazing journey.
Glad to hear you’re figuring out how to take care of yourself. You’re smart to know that in doing so, you will be a better mom to Henry. I hope things are getting a little easier for you. I think we talked about this before Henry arrived, but as exhausting and all-consuming as this time is, know that it will be over in a flash (which I know does not seem possible after you’ve sat in the same chair all day, nursing a child who is always hungry and haven’t had one adult conversation!) and you may actually miss these times. Yes – missing not getting enough uninterrupted sleep, constant diaper changing, nursing every hour, feeling like your body is all out of whack, etc. Because even though it is a lot of work (as you know!) it also is an almost magical-like time getting to know this new little person that you brought into the world.
Of course, feel free to think I am nuts! I thought my sister-in-law (mom to 4 boys) was nuts when she told me (as I was nursing Michael for what felt like the 100th hour in a row), that she really missed newborns and especially nursing. Of course, now I know what she meant but at the time I honestly felt that one of us had some sort of gene that the other didn’t!
Anyway – keep the updates coming. And enjoy – as much as you can – this crazy time. Looking forward to seeing you and meeting Henry soon.
Take care -
Kristi
