puddles
Henry and I had a great visit home to VP last week — we hung out with Grandma & Grandpa, saw Great-Grandma Rose, saw Aunt Rose and cousins Claire, Nolan and James, and just generally had a wonderful, relaxing few days.
So relaxing, in fact, I forgot to take many pictures. Here are just a few snaps of Henry playing on my parents’ screened porch after a rainstorm.
splash-splash-splash!
words
Henry is saying–and trying to say–a lot of words! Here’s his current vocab list, and he seems to add one or two more every few days.
- Dada
- Mama
- Done
- Bottle
- Cracker
- Cheese
- Banana
- Bear
- Ball
- Walk
- Watch
- Car
- Moon
- Leaf
- Quack
- Down
- Logo
- Anya
- Samara
- Gavin
(as you can guess, these last three are the names of some of his friends at daycare.)
And, just to be a proud parents for a moment, the doctor says that’s a lot of words for a child his age!
b-day presents
Here’s Henry unwrapping some cool b-day presents from Grandma Loreli and Great Grandpa & Great Grandma LeMay.
First, the farm and farm animals:
This is a pretty cool Fisher-Price toy that I hadn’t seen before, but Henry really digs it. Basically, it’s a farm with a lot of moveable features, and associated farm animals. I think there are farm / animal noises, but we haven’t put batteries in. Who needs ‘em?
Henry is tickled!
Next, the toy every little boy gets and every parents thinks, hmm…
the drum!
We cut the sticks off so he could pound away more easily. . .
Great presents–thanks everyone!
