Pumpkins!

Henry and I took a drive to get some pumpkins this past weekend. We ended up finding a little farm in a beautiful section of rural Cross Plains (a gorgeous, hilly part of Wisconsin west of Madison, for those of you not from ’round these parts) that had hundreds of pumpkins for sale. Even better than than the pumpkins (in Henry’s opinion) were the friendly farm dog, half-feral barn cats, and actual mooing cows. He looked pretty amazed when the cows first started mooing, and it didn’t sound much like the mooing we usually do when looking at pictures of cows in his books.

Here’s a few pics of Henry choosing our pumpkins, and then sitting with them on our stoop.
