Henry is 2!

Saturday was Henry’s 2nd birthday, and we had a totally great day.  Actually, Henry is fortunate enough to be having a week-long birthday celebration. . .Grandma Loreli came for a quick visit last Thursday, then we (Mommy, Daddy and Henry) had a family birthday celebration on Saturday, and Henry and I will head to Chicago this Friday to celebrate with Grandma Donna and Grandpa.

Here are pictures from the birthday thus far!

Later that morning, we went out for a birthday treat of chocolate donuts:

Still later, we headed over to Ella’s Deli for a meal and a carousel ride.  Not a great pic, but you get the idea. Video on this coming soon.

Finally, Henry opened his presents.  He got a lot of neat gifts from friends and family, but his favorite seemed to be his new “electric” guitar!

Squishy

Henry’s vocabulary is growing exponentially.  I guess it’s a little inaccurate to even say “vocabulary” because it’s so much more than that…three and four-word sentences are the norm now, and you can understand almost everything he says.  He also willingly repeats almost everything you say to him (or around him), which has caused some pretty humorous situations.

At any rate, “squishy” was a word he used today that I had no idea he even knew.  We were talking about play-dough, and he immediately said, “Mommy, squishy! yellow!”  All very fun.

Here’s some recent pics, taken this past weekend up north in Manitowish Waters.  Thanks to Ray & Nancy fora great weekend.
