Middleton Good Neighbor Festival

The weekend before Labor Day is Middleton’s Good Neighbor Festival–it’s always a lot of fun, and is three days of carnival rides, kids’ activities, food, music, beer, etc. We went over a few times this weekend, and Henry seemed to get a big kick out of it. I forgot our camera when we did the carnival rides with Henry’s cousins Jack, Emmett and Will, but we did get a few snaps of Henry in his wagon after the Kids’ Parade.

Don’t mess with…

Our neighbors, John & Sue, are native Texans. They loooove Henry (their two boys are grown), so they often have little presents for him. Here’s what they got him for his birthday this year! Interestingly enough, I guess “Don’t Mess With Texas” is actually a government anti-littering campaign in the Lone Star State. I just thought it was the state motto.

Fishing

It’s summertime, and that means lots of playing in the wading pool.  Here’s Henry with a fun fishing game that Kathy & Ron gave him.  The fish is battery operated and actually “swims” in the water so it takes some effort to hook it!
